Realization
As a consulting and technological expertise firm dedicated to Cybersecurity, Synetis supports its customers in the deployment of their IAM solutions.
Synetis takes charge of the integration of solutions, from the functional and technical design phase to production deployment and data initialization.
In terms of integration and deployment strategy, there are two distinct approaches depending on the context:
Deploying a solution without an existing platform :
- In this context, this is the first implementation of a digital identity service within the organization;
- It is necessary to favor an approach with an initial "MVP" base before extending the service offering, in order to deliver new functionalities iteratively;
- User acceptance of the new service is vital to the success of the project, and can help identify priorities to be taken into account in the first iteration of the foundation.
Migration from an existing service to a new service :
- When replacing an existing solution, it is essential to define a migration strategy which may include a "double run" phase to limit risks at the time of the changeover, or to enable the implementation of an initial value-added service in a shorter timeframe;
- Migration projects should not be seen as an opportunity to "do the same thing better" in a new product, or to simply rule out a problem of technical obsolescence, but as an opportunity to start afresh from needs that have evolved over time;
- It is therefore necessary to take into account the feedback from the field and the evolution over time of the initial solution.
State of the art
In parallel with the integration of the IAM solution, many organizational or functional issues are to be carried out by the project management team to ensure the success of the project. Synetis has a dedicated team with real expertise in IAM projects to accompany the project through the different phases:
- Ensure that the collection of requirements is exhaustive and covers the expectations of the organization's various business lines;
- Validate that the solution meets expectations during the acceptance phase, whether using a classic V-cycle approach or an agile approach based on sprints;
- Anticipate data quality problems by dealing with the issue in advance of service opening;
- Monitor the deployment of the solution over time, preparing the data initialization phase and monitoring the opening of the service and its evolution;
- Implement change management, which is a major success factor, including awareness-raising, communication, training, user satisfaction assessment, etc. ;
- Manage the project and coordinate the various players involved to ensure compliance with commitments (quality, schedule, SLA, etc.).
Synetis handles the various integration and FMOA activities for IAM projects in all domains (IGA, AM, PAM, CIAM, DAG) and for major digital identity technologies, whether they are generalist publishers, global publishers specializing in the field of digital identity or French players focused on IAM.
